Top 20 Albums of 2009: #14 Little Boots – Hands
Victoria Christina Hesketh, known more commonly as her stage name, Little Boots, released her first album, Hands, this June in the UK. The album has yet to be released in North America, but is definitely going to hit the charts and keep a solid spot. She began her career covering songs by artists from Blur to Miley Cyrus and posting them on her YouTube and MySpace pages. Since then, she has perfected her smooth, glossy pop sound. Her songs have been used in several movies including Jennifer’s Body and in a Nokia commercial.
