Top 20 Albums of 2009: #19 Fanfarlo – Reservoir
London, England’s Fanfarlo have been around since 2006, but it wasn’t until the release of their debut full length, Reservoir, that the band has really exploded onto the scene at home and abroad. The album, an orchestral indie-pop gem reminiscent of a brighter Arcade Fire, was recorded at the end of 2008 in Connecticut and produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, The National, Mates of State). This was truly one of the most promising debut’s of the year. Album highlights include “I’m A Pilot”, “Ghosts”, “If It Is Growing” and this little number posted below.
