Plants & Animals, Amy Millan Play Haiti Benifit This Sunday
The recent earthquake in Haiti has had a devastating effect on the country and the death toll is now feared to be over 100,000 people. Montreal, a city with one of the largest Haitian populations in North America, has felt the shock of this earthquake as many continue to try and locate loved ones in Haiti. Pop Montreal and Club Lambi are doing their parts to try and raise money for relief efforts in Haiti. This Sunday night, January 17th, Club Lambi will play host to some of Montreal’s most well known musicians in an effort to raise money for this most worthy cause.
Performing will be Plants & Animals, Amy Millan, Jahnice, Tony Ezzy, Doody Le Tigre, Shapes & Sizes, Random Recipe, Vox Sambou. Along with these performances there will be DJ sets by Martin Cesar of Think About Life, Jeremy Gara of Arcade Fire. There will also be a special dance performance by Hanako Hoshimi-Caines
The cost for this one is a contribution of a suggested $10.00 – $20.00 and all the money raised will be given directly to Partners in Health (PIH) in order to provide aide and relief in Haiti.
Please come out to support this great cause.
