Tonight in the City: The Wind Up Radio Sessions

Tonight may be a quiet night in the ol Montreal, but if your looking for somewhere to have a drink and listen to a few great tunes played by one of Montreal’s finest up-and coming bands, you may want to check out The Wind Up Radio Sessions at Casa Del Popolo.

While the band may be Montreal based now, they are actually made up of two brothers, Marc and Dan Kiely from Ontario and Matthew Lazenby, who is originally from Yorkshire, UK. Their music is upbeat, poppy and fun and their debut LP, Red Brick House, which hits shelves in March, is as good a debut as you could expect to hear. They will be bringing the songs from this album to life at Casa tonight so if you’re in the mood for some good old fashioned folk poppy goodness, come on out. King Bochek and The Darling DeMaes will open. Oh, and here’s a sample of what you’ll hear.
