Busking For Change Is Today!
This event will have some of our favourite musicians busking in metro stations around Montreal both for the change in our pockets, along with the global change that we hope will ensue. Basically, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 2nd, musicians that we know and love will take to the streets, playing songs to raise money and awareness for a very worthy cause. All of the money raised on this day will go directly to War Child, a charity organization that provides humanitarian aide to children around the world that has been affected by war. Here’s a statement from War Child:
“Busking for Change Montreal is taking place at a crucial time, when War Child is setting up long term rehabilitation programming in Haiti. The event will mark the return of a War Child assessment mission from the devastated country, where it will be working to help the most vulnerable by providing support in trauma recovery, poverty reduction and education to those children and youth that are most at risk.”
