Before The Show: Seabear – Green Room – Tuesday, March 30th, 2010
I don’t know what it is about Iceland, but it just seems like there is something in the water that leads to the birth of some most incredible musicians. Sindri Már Sigfússon who is becoming more and more well known not only in Iceland but worldwide for his solo work as Sin Fang Bous and for his work with his band Seabear is one of these talented Icelanders. Seabear’s new album is also accompanied by an EP entitled While The Fire Dies, which means that there are currently 17 new Seabear songs on the table, some of which we can expect to hear live, next Tuesday at Green Room. Opening up for Seabear will be American singer/songwriter Via Tania, along with Seabear member Sóley Stefánsdóttir who records simply as Sóley. Sóley has a new EP of her own entitled Theatre Island which will be released on March 26th, so expect to hear some songs from that. Tickets for this show are $10.00 and can be purchased online here, or at the door.
