You Say Party! We Say Die! – April 3rd
Starting us off in grandiose fashion, we’ve got BC’s You Say Party! We Say Die! playing on April 3rd. These electro-rockers, led by the charismatic Becky Ninkovic, put on one of the best shows around, as we saw the last time they came to town as a part of last year’s M For Montreal Festival. The Morning Benders + Miniature Tigers – April 15th
This is a show that we are truly excited for. California’s The Morning Benders have embarked upon a tour in support of their pretty incredible new album, Big Echo, that will bring them to our very own Sala Rossa on April 15th. But this show packs quite a punch, as opening up will be the always fun Miniature Tigers, who are responsible for creating our favourite song about cannabalism, “Cannical Queen”. Oh did we mention that the amazing Leif Vollebekk will also be playing this show. Yes, this one has show of the month potential. Red Sparowes – April 16th
On April 16th, Californian post-rock band Red Sparowes will do there best to make the chandeliers shake at Sala Rossa, as they will also be making a stop in Montreal on their current tour in support of their forthcoming album, The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies the Answer (out April 6th). Opening up will be Doomriders and Fang Island and will be and tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $16.00.
An Horse + Hannah Georgas – April 23rd
One of the most exciting things to come out of Australia in the last little while along with The Temper Trap and The Middle East is An Horse. This band is actually a duo composed of Kate Cooper on guitar and vocals and Damon Cox on drums and their debut album, Rearrange Beds, which was released just over a year ago, was one of the nicest surprised of last year. Opening this one will be another name that has been getting a lot of praise lately, Hannah Georgas. You can pick up your tickets right here, for only $13.00.
Joseph Arthur – April 29th & 30th
Akron, Ohio native Joseph Arthur will be playing back to back nights at Sala Rossa this month, on a tour that will have him playing back to back nights in New York, New Jersey, Montreal and four nights in a row in Venice, California.
