Young Rival + Dirty Wedding + Black Mystic @ Divan Orange
Young Rival are a gritty rock band from Hamilton, Ontario. They are on tour in support of their debut self-titled LP which was just released last month. They have already had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Born Ruffians, King Khan and the Shrines and Tokyo Police Club but tomorrow night they will share the spotlight with two of Montreal’s finest up and coming bands. You must must must show up early for this one, as Montreal’s own Black Mystic will start things off around 9:30 with some brand new songs that they have been working on. Tonight’s performance will also be the band’s first gig with their new singer Roxanne Lemieux. Dirty Wedding will take the stage next before Young Rival do their thing. Mini-M w/ Duchess Says + Monogrenade + The Peelies @ Cafe Campus
Tonight also kicks off the first night of the Mini-M concert series provided by the folks at M For Montreal. Basically, between now and October, every month there will be a show at Cafe Campus for you to check out. Tonight’s show features three of the buzziest Montreal band’s out there. Duchess Says need no introduction. They have been making quite a name for themselves not only in Montreal but around the world as well. Most recently the band supported The Yeah Yeah Yeahs while they toured the UK. But tonight they will play the hometown heroes once again along with Monogrenade and the adorable Peelies. The best thing about this show is the it is FREE! So if you’re looking to get in you better show up early.
