U2 Postpone Tour
According to U2.com, due to Bono’s health the band will be unable to play any of the 16 dates on their scheduled u2360 Tour. From the website:
“Tour promoters Live Nation have confirmed that the 16 U2360° shows from Salt Lake City on June 3rd, through to New Jersey’s Meadowlands Stadium on July 19th, will be rescheduled for 2011.”
U2 front-man, Bono suffered a back injury a few days ago and had to undergo emergency back surgery.
From Bono’s doctor Dr. Muller Wohlfahrt:
“Bono suffered severe compression of the sciatic nerve. On review of his MRI scan, I realized there was a serious tear in the ligament and a herniated disc, and that conservative treatment would not suffice. I recommended Bono have emergency spine surgery with Professor Tonn at Munich’s LMU University Hospital on Friday.”
The good news is that Bono has been released from the hospital and the surgery has been deemed successful. The postponed 2010 dates will be rescheduled to 2011, although the dates have yet to be announced. Stay tuned…
