The New Pornographers + The Dodos Ticket Giveaway -ENDED

This is one of the best lineups of the year so far so even if you didn’t win you will surely want to check this one out. The New Pornographers have reached that level of indie rock superiority that most bands dream of attaining. The band, led by core members A.C. Newman, Dan Bejar and Neko Case, are responsible for writing some of the most memorable indie rock anthems of the 2000s. But they are only one of the many reasons this show will be as good as it is. Opening up for them will be San Fransisco’s The Dodos. Led by the duo of Meric Long and Logan Kroeber, The Dodos released two albums independently before signing to French Kiss Records, on which they released their third album Visiter. It was this release that has led to the amount of fame and success that band has known today. Since then vibraphone player Keaton Snyder has joined the band and they have released their third full length, entitled Time To Die. But it is truly the band’s live show that sets them apart from the rest. Last but certainly not least, also playing this show will be the excellent The Dutchess & The Duke. We have been obsessed with this duo ever since we were first turned on to them when they played at Il Motore back in January.

Again this show is happening tomorrow night, June 17th, at Le National. Better pick up your tickets now before it’s too late.
