Andrew Bird Designs Shirt For Montreal Charity
Since 2006, The Yellow Bird Project has worked with bands and musicians from all over the indie music world in creating a design for a t-shirt to sell online. The profits from the sales go directly to the charity of the band’s choosing. Bands like Broken Social Scene, Metric, The Shins, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, Of Montreal have all taken part in this great cause and now we have a new name to add to the list. Andrew Bird is the latest musician to lend his hand to helping those in need through the power of song. His design is as whimsical as his music. Depicted on a light grey American Apparel tee is a light blue peacock riding a bicycle. All proceeds from the sale of the shirt will go to Pegasus Special Riders Inc. which is an organization that provides theraputic horseback riding experiences for adults and children with special needs.
