Free Download of the Week: Lovers – “Figure 8”
Led by lyricist extraordinaire Carolyn Berk, Lovers have been transforming ever since their humble beginnings. From their earlier straight forward guitar driven alternative rock sound to today’s more synthy electro-pop sound, there has been one thing that has stayed the same throughout the years. That is lead Lover Carolyn Berk’s knack for writing songs that not only sound nice but draw you in with their words. I know it sounds kind of cliché but it’s hard not to fall in love with with this band. Their latest album, Dark Light, which is set for an October 12th release on Badman Recording Co., has the trio sounding quite different than on past efforts, but the change is quite refreshing and leaves one itching to find out what the rest of the album will sound like. For now we’ll have to settle for the first single from the album; a song called “Figure 8″, which you can download right now by clicking here or at any time throughout the week on our sidebar.
