Sea Wolf Ticket Giveaway – ENDED
In our latest contest we asked you if you could be a combination of any two animals what would they be. We had a lot of great answers come in from the dreaded Penguar (jaguar penguin combination) to a wolf-elephant combination. But the winner of this contest really went the extra mile with his description of the platy-bat; a mixture of platypus and bat. That winner is Steven M. Congratulations Steven, you have won a pair of tickets to this show. Not only did Steven enumerate the many advantages of the platy-bat but he even included this lovely image of what the creature would look like:
We thank everyone who entered and we urge you to check out this show even if you didn’t win. It’s hard to listen to Sea Wolf without being drawn into the lovely imagery that Alex Brown Church creates through his music and lyrics. Whether it’s through the grungy electric guitars of “O Maria” or nothing more than some acoustic guitar and a string quartet, as on “Orion & Dog”, close your eyes and you’ll find yourself rushing through a moonlit forest or lazing by a riverside. It’s this ability to connect with the listener that has made Sea Wolf what they are. The band’s latest album White Water, White Bloom has a fuller sound than past efforts, but it will be as stripped down as it gets when Church arrives in Montreal to play at Il Motore solo tomorrow night. Tickets are $12.00 and can be purchased via Blue Skies Turn Black by clicking here. You can also buy tickets at the door for $14.00.
