Silk Screaming @ L’Escogriffe
Our top recommendation for tonight is a band that goes by the name of Silk Screaming. You may have heard us ranting here and there about how good these guys are. Well now that we’ve experienced them live we want you to experience it as well. These guys and gals have come a long way from their humble beginnings as Black Mystic and we can’t wait to hear what they will have in store for us tonight. Things should kick off around 9:30 PM at L’escogriffe and tickets are going for $8.00 at the door.
Surface of Atlantic @ La Sala Rossa
Also playing tonight at Sala Rossa is another Montreal band called Surface of Atlantic. We don’t know much about these guys besides the fact that their music is cinematic and packed with emotion. With a brand new LP entitled A Frame Per Second set to be released tonight at the show we wouldn’t be surprised if we start to hear a lot more about these guys in the near future. Doors open at 9:00 PM and tickets are $10.00.
Montreal Jewish Music Festival
Finally, tonight is the third night of the Montreal Jewish Music Festival that kicked off a couple of nights ago at Parc Des Ameriques and last night with Socalled and The Youjsh‘s performances at Sala Rossa. There are two more nights to go including tonight so if you’d like to be a part of the first ever Montreal Jewish Music Festival you’ve got two nights to do it.
