Let The Festival Begin!

Day 1 – Studio/Cabaret JPR – Thursday, November 18th

This year’s festival will kick off in fine fashion with some bands that have really made names for themselves this past year. PS I Love You have been just about everywhere this past year and it’s no surprise. There’s only two members in this band but they are louder than any 5 piece outfit you can think of and are a band you don’t want to miss tomorrow night. The night will kick off at 8:30 PM with Elephant Stone, followed by Marco Calliari, Jason Bajada, PS I Love You and Black Feelings. Headlining at 11:25 PM will be the always psychotic AIDS Wolf so you better save some energy to rock out with them but don’t go too crazy because you’ve got to save yourself for the next two nights of great music.

Day 2 – Studio/Cabaret JPR – Friday, November 19th

The second night of M For Montreal 2010 features one of Montreal’s more interesting acts out there. Led by the energetic Frannie Holder and rapper Fab, Random Recipe mix hip hop, rock, jazz and a whole slew of other things to create something truly new and exciting on the Montreal musical landscape. Molly Rankin will start things off at 8:30 PM, followed by The Barr Brothers, Metz, MYATS favourite Valleys, and Suuns before Random Recipe set the roof on fire at 11:15 PM.

Day 3 – Metropolis – Saturday, November 20th

By far one of the best performances at this year’s Pop Montreal Festival was Montreal’s heart-breaking epic rock troupe The Dears. With guitarist Patrick Krief back in the lineup and a new album called Degeneration Street only a couple of months from seeing it’s official release, The Dears are poised to make a return to the forefront of the indie music scene. But before the Dears take the stage on Saturday we will hear from La Patere Rose and Pascal Picard. And the music doesn’t stop there because after The Dears play there will be performances by Priestess, Misteur Vallaire and Poirier making the final night of the festival a night of true diversity, as is usually the case when it comes to M For Montreal.

All in all this should be a great few nights of live music in Montreal and you can be a part of it all for just $60.00 for a full festival pass. You can pick your pass up right now by heading over to Admission.com. Individual day passes are also available. For more information on this year’s M For Montreal Festival click here.
