We’ve got bad news for all you Wolf Parade fans out there. Our beloved Montreal indie rock troupe have decided that after a few final shows in the new year the band will go on indefinite hiatus.
Pitchfork broke the news today, stating that at a show in Toronto lead Wolf Parade member Spencer Krug said that, “This is the last show we’ll play for a long time”. The news was confirmed by Dan Bockner on a Wolf Parade fan site and re-confirmed by the band’s label, Sub Pop Records. Whether the band’s glorious last release, Expo 86, will be the last thing we are ever to hear from Wolf Parade is yet to be determined, but the good news is we can continue to follow the various band members in their excellent side projects listed below. For now, let’s all say what is hopefully a temporary goodbye to Wolf Parade by enjoying one of their videos…
