If your head hasn’t exploded yet due to the sheer amazingness of all the bands and artists that will be in town for this year’s Festival we would like to let you in on a very special charity event that will take place during the fest that was set up by none other than Win Butler of Arcade Fire. Along with Dexter John of DJ Sports Club, Win Butler and Pop Montreal will put on the first annual Pop vs. Jock Charity Basketball Game. Butler and a team of musicians will face off against a team of current and graduated basketball players from the McGill Redmen and Concordia Stingers. To make this event even more special, Arcade Fire’s Regine Chassagne will be playing the organ during the game and Kid Koala will play the half-time show. All proceeds from the game will go to DJ Sports Club, a non-profit organization that offers sports programs to children aged 7 to 17.
