About
Meet You At The Show was started by two born and raised Montreal music lovers who felt that Montreal needed a place to not only find out about concerts in the Montreal area but to meet like-minded concert goers and create ongoing discussions about music that you care about.
At first you will notice that the site will be primarily devoted to listing all the shows big and small in the Montreal area. As the weeks go by you will notice small changes here and there as we improve and expand the scope of the site. Hang in for the ride because things are about to get really exciting around here.

Kailey Diogo
Writer – Photographer
Kailey Diogo is a wandering soul with a passion for hair styling, performing and writing music. When she’s not writing reviews or taking photos, she can often be found playing video games, reading comic books, serving drinks at Second Cup, aimlessly wandering the city or digging around for new music. She has an eclectic music taste and is almost always open to new genres and sounds.
“I have a love/hate thing with Montreal. I always want to get out and discover some place new, but I end up coming right back. This city is so alive.”

Jordan Ghetler
Writer
Jordan Ghetler is a student attending Vanier College in the Communications, Arts, Media & Theatre program. Jordan enjoys listening to music, messing around on garage band, screenwriting, doodling and going to shows. Some of his favourite bands are Marilion, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Genesis and King Crimson but he is open to anything from Jay-Z to Joni Mitchell. He also really loves watching Woody Allen films.
“I’m a very outgoing guy, and, actually, while I have the sort of, you know, spotlight, I should mention that, umm, back in the day, I was called the Bagel Boy. Actually that’s not true, but I enjoyed typing that out nonetheless.” -Jordan Ghetler

Kyla Gilbert
Writer
Kyla Gilbert is an environmental studies major living in Montreal who decided to put her love of writing and music to good use by writing for MeetYouAtTheShow.com. She spends a large part of her time going to plays, sewing and scouting out tea shops, which has led the people around her to believe that she is actually an old lady hiding inside a younger person’s body. She likes Montreal because it lets her put all the crazy ideas that pop into her head into action. She also writes theatre reviews at http://thegreenhorn.tumblr.com/
Amelia Robitaille
Writer – Photographer
Although on the outside it seems as though Amelia Robitaille is a simple Vanier College student, there is much more to know. Behind her secret identity, Amelia is in fact a young padawan; a jedi-in-training. As a child, she was blessed with extraordinary powers so strong she blew everyone’s brains and had to move to Earth, where she would not be prosecuted for her misconduct. Now, she lives amongst humans, disguising herself as a young, fun-loving and carefree female. Her favourite things on earth include grass and trees, TV shows about nothing (otherwise known as Seinfeld), being barefoot, longboarding and oranges. She enjoys electronic-psychedelic-metal-classical-hiphop-postrock-experimental-postpunk-folk music.
Sarah Touyz
Writer
Sarah Touyz wins the award for the bubbliest member of our team. She has recently graduated from McGill university with a BSC. Some of her hobbies include painting, reading, listening to music, playing guitar and piano, drawing, writing, traveling and exploring. Sarah is a cat person and her favourite fruit is the nectarine. Her biggest pet peeve is having food in her teeth and she makes it a point of always smelling good. Her favourite thing about Montreal is the European influence that can be found everywhere you look.
“I’ve only recently started really appreciating the French touch that really gives this city such a unique feeling & atmosphere. It’s charm is really incomparable with any other city in North America. I also love that there’s such a happening underground music, art, and fashion world here, which is completely underrated. oh, and of course the smoked meat.” -Sarah Touyz

Leanne Craigmyle
Photographer
Leanne Craigmyle is a student of the Visual Arts who lives in Montreal. Besides going to shows and taking some incredible photographs Leanne enjoys playing guitar, drawing, painting and reading Dallas Clayton’s poems. Leanne also loves polaroids and black & white photography. She has very eclectic music taste that ranges from The Used and Dallas Green to Craig Cardiff to Bon Iver and the Beatles. Her favourite artists are Alex Pardee and David Hochbaum. The best shows she has ever seen were Regina Spektor at Metropolis and The Wooden Sky at Il Motore.
David Gosselin
Photographer
David Gosselin, Civil engineer student at McGill by day, photographer extraordinaire by night. He spends most of his waking hours entranced by the beauty of music. Born and raised in this land rich of culture and opportunity, he has come to follow a wide spectrum of musical genres ranging from indie to alternative, to punk, to experimental psychedelic android rock. Music is the window to the universe, if it were ever shattered, we’d all get sucked out into space and then, nothing.
Sandy Jolin
Photographer
Sandy is a student at Cegep du Vieux-Montréal studying Textile Design. She is passionate about art & design and currently does screen-printing for MASSIVart.com. She began her career as a photographer four years ago and what she loves most about concert photography is the ability to capture a moment in a show and make time stand still. Her love for music is ever present and her taste changes daily. Some of her favourite bands and artists are Charlotte Gainsbourg, Cocoon, Florence and the Machine, Metric, The Do, Misteur Valaire, but ask her tomorrow and you may get a completely different list. She especially loves discovering new talent. Her favourite thing about Montreal is the variety of summer outdoor festivals where she can practice her photography skills.
Laura-Chanel Lespérance
Photographer
Laura-Chanel Lespérance is a student at Vanier College in the Communications program. Her hobbies can be summed up with one word…drawing. While Laura doesn’t really consider herself a “music person” she does love going to shows and discovering new artists. Random facts: Laura is left-handed, and her favourite donut is either double chocolate, or chocolate glaze with custard inside (although the one’s with sprinkles are good too. But not as tasty as they look). Her favourite thing about Montreal is The Plateau.
“I’m very appreciative of the plateau area, especially recently that I’ve been going to all these shows. There’s just so many amazing little places that I would never know of. So yeah, the little places.”

Sean Mundy
Photographer
Sean Mundy is an 18 year old student at Dawson College in the Arts & Culture program. When he isn’t sleeping in until 2 in the afternoon, Sean is taking photos, writing/playing music, or daydreaming about personal projects he aspires to work, ranging from short films, to a photo-porfolio of his own. His musical tastes are too diverse to narrow it down to a single genre, but he can often be caught listening to anything from Daniel Hunter, Adam Young, Sonny Moore, Dallas Green, Foals, Closure in Moscow, Thrice, and Ratatat. His first and most memorable show to date was City and Colour in the summer of 2008. To Sean, Montreal is great because it’s one of the biggest cities in the world, yet it keeps it’s heritage close to heart.
