Protect IP Act Set to Destroy Music Sharing
The Internet saved independent music. When Myspace began in the mid-2000’s, bands that otherwise would have never had a chance to be heard could now be heard around the world. Not long after, many other websites such as TheSixtyOne, Soundcloud, and, most recently, Bandcamp, would emerge and also give artists the opportunity to share their music with the world for free! With such websites, several bands have gone on to find their audiences through file sharing, as well as pirating; and now the Government of the United States wants to put an end to all of this in the name of greed and control. Review: Lyonnais – Want For Wish For Nowhere
Lyonnais is a four-piece band from Atlanta, Georgia comprised of T. J Blake, Lee Tesche, Farzad Moghaddam, and Farbod Kokabi. Defying the social conventions behind rock music, Lyonnais almost single handedly help keep Atlanta on the musical map with their debut album Want For Wish For Nowhere, which they produced and recorded themselves. Emerging from the same musical scene as Deerhunter and Bear In Heaven, Lyonnais construct music which will hypnotize and overpower your senses. Want For Wish For Nowhere is out now via Hoss Records.
