Venue of the Month: La Sala Rossa
It is going to be an extremely busy September in Montreal. Not only will there be an abundance of shows around our city but there will be enough great shows to make your head spin. This simple fact made choosing a venue of the month extremely difficult but after carefully surveying all the venues in the city we had to go with the lovely Sala Rossa. Kele of Bloc Party, Efterklang, The Do, Foals, Bear In Heaven and School of Seven Bells are just a few of the great bands playing at Sala this month. Tonight In The City

So it’s a wrap folks. As we expected, Quest for the Fest was a huge success! The competition was fierce, the winners were crowned and now the build up towards POP Montreal 2010 continues. Now that all our treasure hunting excitement is over – until next year – we’ve got some great shows to liven up your evenings. It’s been three long year’s since we have heard anything from Stockholm, Sweden’s The Concretes. Since the release of their last album, Hey Trouble back in 2007 (which was also the band’s first album without former lead singer Victoria Bergsman who now goes by the name Taken by Trees) they have been very busy working on what will eventually be their fourth studio album, entitled WYWH.
