Interview: Current Swell
As Current Swell are making their way around the Eastern parts of Canada, our lovely MYATS member Christelle got to ask band-member Davers Lang a few questions about their new album, as well as their growth as a band, and their influences. Help Goosehut Open For Hanson!
After attending their fun-filled show with Honheehonhee at Club Lambi this past Friday, we just found out that someone’s started a petition to get Goose Hut to open for Hanson at the Corona Theater in February! Yes, those three “MMMBop” brothers we all used to watch and sing along to in our youth, courtesy of the Hit List TV series are coming to Montreal, and it would be an absolute blast for the guys from Goose Hut to share the stage with them. Protect IP Act Set to Destroy Music Sharing
The Internet saved independent music. When Myspace began in the mid-2000’s, bands that otherwise would have never had a chance to be heard could now be heard around the world. Not long after, many other websites such as TheSixtyOne, Soundcloud, and, most recently, Bandcamp, would emerge and also give artists the opportunity to share their music with the world for free! With such websites, several bands have gone on to find their audiences through file sharing, as well as pirating; and now the Government of the United States wants to put an end to all of this in the name of greed and control. Interview: Mother Mother
On Saturday night, Le Cabaret du Mile-End hosted a sold-out show for Canada’s own Mother Mother. Sarve and Amelia were lucky enough to sit down and have an entertaining chat with them before they went onstage.
