Interview: The Wailing Wall
Jesse Rifkin, or as most know him, The Wailing Wall is a multi-instrumentalist who was born in LA but now calls New York City home. Interview: Drink Up Buttercup
We have not been able to get enough of Drink Up Buttercup ever since we were presented with their new LP, Born and Thrown on a Hook a few weeks back. These guys are just so much fun to listen to and while we haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them live we have heard great things about their live show. This Sunday, May 9th everything will change, as the band will be making a stop at Montreal’s Green Room on their current North American tour. We had a chance to catch up with bassist Ben Mazzochetti, who let us into the life of Drink Up Buttercup.
Interview: Maps & Atlases
Maps & Atlases are an indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. They have been working diligently for some time now on their forthcoming debut full length LP, Perch Patchwork, and have just embarked on a North American tour with Scottish indie rockers Frightened Rabbit. The two bands will make a much anticipated stop in Montreal tomorrow night, May 3rd at Petit Campus. As a preview for the show our own Kailey Diogo had a chance to catch up with Maps & Atlases’ lead singer and guitarist Dave Davison.
Interview: Girl in a Coma
Girl in a Coma is a trio of female musicians from San Antonio, Texas. The band was discovered in 2006 by Joan Jett, who then signed them to her record label, Blackheart Records. In their short historyas a band, they have already released two full length LPs and two EPs as well. Most recently, the band has been working on a triple album of cover songs from some of their favourite artists, entitled Adventures in Coverland. We had a chance to catch up with the band’s lead singer, Nina Diaz in the midst of their current North American tour with The Wedding Present.
