Interview: The Naked and Famous
We’re back again to bring you another interview. We recently had a chance to speak to the New Zealand band The Naked and Famous. It would take pages to describe all the many talents of the Montreal based Socalled. For all intents and purposes we will simply call him a jack of all trades. You can hear songs from the album being played live tomorrow night at the album’s official launch party at the Ukranian Federation. We had a chance to catch up with Socalled to discuss the creation process of his latest, and perhaps greatest record so without further ado, here is our latest interview with Socalled.
Interview: Buke and Gass
Buke and Gass have really begun to make a name for themselves not only around the blogosphere, but at many concert venues around North America and in Europe, and now with their first full length LP, Riposte, on iPods around the world. Here is our latest exclusive interview with Javelin.
Interview: Hexes & Ohs
Hexes & Ohs have been one of the most lasting bands to come out of Montreal in the last 10 years. They have been laying low since the release of their last album, Bedroom Madness, back in 2008, but this year they are making a comeback in a big way. The band has signed to a new label, has a new album in the works and is in the process of lining up some live gigs as well. The first of which is going down tomorrow night, March 24th at Casa Del Popolo as a part of CJLO‘s Signal To Noise benefit series. We had a chance to catch up with the duo earlier this week to discuss all the latest happenings. Read more…
Interview: BRAHMS
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, BRAHMS has had a dynamic head start on their electronic music career. They played their very first show for 3,000 people on a supporting spot for electropop sweethearts Passion Pit and haven’t looked back since. Now the trio are set to embark on a North American tour in support of Asobi Seksu – and they will be bringing their danceable jams right here to Montreal at Casa del Popolo this Saturday, February 26th.
We spoke with singer Cale Parks this week on dealing with instant success, his penchant for electronic rhythms, and BRAHMS’ upcoming debut 7″ release and full-length in the works.
