The awe-striking Timber Timbre and lovely Agnes Obél are going to throw one heck of a life changing experience of a show for anyone who’s been dying to hear a band play in a cathedral; also known as me. Albeit, I believe we’re all excited to see this amazing performance happen in a beautiful, immense church, with one of the most haunting and eerily beautiful acts. I could not have thought of a better band to play such a venue. If you’re second-guessing your attendance, don’t even think about it. Tandoori Knights – Il Motore – 30.11.11
Il Motore was fully revved on Wednesday night due to a packed house and a spicy menu as Bloodshot Bill, Crystal Stilts and Tandoori Knights took over Little Italy. Mile-Enders and Montrealers from all over answered the call to catch up with some of this city’s brightest and boldest rock n’ rollers and to be taken on a cross-continental journey of music and theatrics. As the punters shuffled in, dragging wisps of cold air behind them, the DJ played a mix of vinyl that zig-zagged between Detroit rock, British invasion, southern soul and noise rock. A good start to what turned out to be an interesting and eclectic evening. Read more…
