To wrap up Dawson College’s 2011 Orientation, the Dawson Student Union has organized a great concert that will take place this Friday at La Tulipe featuring Montreal’s own Plants & Animals as well as Toronto, Ontario folk singer/songwriter Basia Bulat. Canadian Indie Geography – Pt. 3: Ontario
After a sufficiently elongated break, Canadian Indie Geography is back with part trois. We know Ontario and Quebec are a combined sector, but we just had the hardest time trying to narrow down the pool of talented artists that reside in these two provinces, which is why we’ve separated them and given them their own individual posts. Basia Bulat – L’Astral – Friday, February 12th
To promote her new album, entitled Heart of My Own to her fans in Montreal, Basia Bulat played an incredible show at L’Astral Friday night. She was accompanied by Leif Vollebekk, a singer-songwriter native to Montreal who serenaded the crowd with his guitar driven folk ballads. It was a night of beautiful music…and perfect teeth.
