This Week in Montreal
While a lot of us are still coming down from the high experienced last night from Arcade Fire winning the award for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, it’s time to get back to reality and take a look at what’s on the live music agenda for this week in Montreal. While the week may be starting off a little slow, things really pick up on Wednesday night with four shows that are all worthy of some attention. Last Sunday we threw our very own holiday party called The Holly Jolly Holiday Bash. We brought in some of Montreal’s best musicians to play some songs, we gave away lots of presents and all the money raised was donated to one of our favourite local charity organizations; Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue. This past Sunday night at Le Cagibi we put on our very own Holly Jolly Holiday Bash. The night was filled with great music, great food and drinks and lots of prizes. Ho ho ho! It’s that jolly time of year again! 11-11 Animal Rescue Celebrate Anniversary This Weekend
Our favourite Montreal based animal rescue organization, Eleven Eleven, will be having their one year anniversary this Saturday and they have decided to put on a little concert to celebrate and raise funds and awareness for the cause. The Fur Ball: A Night of Class and Bluegrass
This Thursday there will be a very special event going on in Montreal to benefit one of our favourite local non-profit organizations. Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue is an organization that specializes in finding homes for harder to place animals or animals that are going to be euthanized and since their inception they have been working extremely hard to raise money to be able to help as many animals as possible.
Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue Benefit Show This Friday
After the very successful benefit show for Haiti that took place on Sunday night, Amy Millan, along with The Hoof & The Heel, Bud Rice, Yonder Hill and Beaugart, will play a show this Friday, January 22nd, with proceeds going to another very worthy cause, Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue.

I know what you’re expecting. An interview with a singer or band. Well usually that would be a good guess but not today! This Friday, we will be covering a benefit concert, put on by a Montreal organization called Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue. The show will feature Amy Millan, The Hoof & The Heel, Bud Rice and more, and the money raised at the show will go directly to helping animals in need.
