After a wee bit of a hiatus, us folks from the Meet You At The Show team are back with a vengeance! We want to show the music world we’re not afraid of taking on 10 000 shows a week! M For Montreal Day 2 – 11.19.10
Friday night was Cabaret Juste Pour Rire’s last time hosting M for Montreal as, unfortunately, they will be closing down some time next month – but that’s not the only thing that made it a memorable night. Attendees of day 2 of the annual local music showcase were treated to a diverse array of top-rate local musical acts Random Recipe, SUUNS, Valleys, METZ, The Barr Brothers, and Molly Rankin. Let The Festival Begin!
Always one of the biggest dates on our must see calendar, the wonderful M For Montreal Festival that takes place every year in our great city kicks off tonight. Over the next three nights we will hear from some of Montreal’s finest musicians along with some great out of town talent. The culmination of this year’s fest will take place on Saturday at Metropolis with performances by The Dears, La Patere Rose, Misteur Vallaire and more. Pop Montreal Preview Part 4 (Saturday, Oct. 2)

Pop Montreal Preview – Part 2 (Thursday, Sept. 30)
The second day of Pop Montreal takes place this year on Thursday, September 30th. While day one offered us some really interesting shows we are going to go out on a limb and say day 2 at Pop Montreal this year will be the best day of the festival. One after another, we’ve got a stacked lineup on day 2 which will obviously lead to some very tough decisions on your part. We would like to try and make those decisions a little easier by giving you our picks for a busy day 2 at Pop Montreal 2010.

For our free download this week we’ve got a song for you that isn’t exactly new, but what it lacks in newness it makes up in sweetness. The song is called “Down by the Water” and it can be found on Brooklyn, NY’s The Drums‘ debut self titled LP which is already out now digitally but will see an official North American release on September 14th via Downtown Records.

Shout Out Louds + Freelance Whales – Cabaret JPR – Friday, May 7th, 2010
Last night, Cabaret played host to Sweden’s Shout Out Louds and New York’s Freelance Whales. In a rare turn of events, the show started at the designated call time. So prompt, in fact, that only the absolute keeners, forming a thin line in front of the stage, had time to arrive before the sound of Freelance Whales was drifting through the room.
