Montreal’s biggest music festival is just on the horizon and I’m sure you are just as excited as we are to set foot on the grounds of Parc Jean Drapeau for day one of the now three day Osheaga Festival. Polaris Music Prize Announces Short List

It’s that time of year again! The short-list for this year’s Polaris Music Prize has just been announced. The prize this year, which will be awarded to the creators of the best Canadian album of the year, based solely on artistic merit and not taking into account genre or sales history, is $30,000 (a raise from the $10,000 awarded in past years). Each of the nine runners-up will also receive $2000 this year, courtesy of Slaight Music. Read more…

One of the most exciting times of the year for many Montrealers is the announcement of the lineup for the annual Osheaga Festival that happens every summer at Parc Jean Drappeau in Montreal.
