RATATAT Announce Tour, Play Metropolis Sept. 7, 2010

We’ve got two bits of good news for all you RATATAT fans out there, and judging by the last time they were in town, there are a lot of you. The electro rock duo has just announced plans for a coast to coast North American tour throughout the months of September and October. That’s the first good news. Sia + Girl in a Coma – Club Soda – Friday, April 30th, 2010

Last night Montreal’s Club Soda played host to Australian born singer/songwriter Sia and San Antonio, Texas’ Girl in a Coma. You could say that there was a lot of excitement surrounding this show as it was completely sold out, and with the crowd buzzing in anticipation the house lights when off and the crowd began to cheer loudly; something that would become a common occurrence throughout the night.

Free Download of the Week: Sia – “You’ve Changed”

Sia is all over our front page today. It’s okay though, because she’s a cutie pie, and she also makes some pretty sweet music. Not only is Sia’s fourth full length LP, We Are Born, set to hit stores on June 7th but this Friday, April 30th, Sia will be coming to Montreal to play some songs for us at Club Soda. So to celebrate all of this, our song of the week is a brand new track from Sia’s new album.

Interview: Girl in a Coma

Girl in a Coma is a trio of female musicians from San Antonio, Texas. The band was discovered in 2006 by Joan Jett, who then signed them to her record label, Blackheart Records. In their short historyas a band, they have already released two full length LPs and two EPs as well. Most recently, the band has been working on a triple album of cover songs from some of their favourite artists, entitled Adventures in Coverland. We had a chance to catch up with the band’s lead singer, Nina Diaz in the midst of their current North American tour with The Wedding Present. So without further ado here is our latest interview with Girl in a Coma.
