Interview: Alcoholic Faith Mission
A name that has been cropping up all over the place lately, from your average music blog, to esteemed press outlets such a Esquire and the New York Times, is Denmark/Brooklyn 6-piece, Alcoholic Faith Mission. The band will roll through Montreal this Thursday, March 10th to play at Casa Del Popolo for the Under The Snow Festival that will take place in Montreal from March 9 to 13 and we had a chance to catch up with one of the band’s founding members, Thorben Seierø Jensen.

Venue of the Month: La Sala Rossa
It is going to be an extremely busy September in Montreal. Not only will there be an abundance of shows around our city but there will be enough great shows to make your head spin. This simple fact made choosing a venue of the month extremely difficult but after carefully surveying all the venues in the city we had to go with the lovely Sala Rossa. Kele of Bloc Party, Efterklang, The Do, Foals, Bear In Heaven and School of Seven Bells are just a few of the great bands playing at Sala this month. Last night, La Sala Rossa provided the backdrop for Danish band Efterklang, with homegrown band Burls opening. The space began to fill up early, everyone eager for the show to begin. By the time Burls entered the stage, the room had begun to buzz with anticipation.
Venue of the Month: La Sala Rossa
It’s time to announce our venue of the month for the month of March. No it’s not Il Motore as it has been twice in the past four months. While there is of course some great stuff going down at Il Motore this month, we have chosen Spanish restaurant/concert hall La Sala Rossa as our venue of the month for March. There are things going down at Sala on 28 of the 31 nights of March. Here are some highlights.
