At Casa Del Popolo on Sunday night, there was no local band opening for the headliner, but that made what we did get to see that much more enjoyable — no beating around the bush. Last night, Gary Higgins and James Blackshaw occupied a very laid back 2-hour span which proved to be a very successful end to the month of January.

While January won’t go down in history as the best month of shows in Montreal, our venue of the month for January is a cute little vegetarian restaurant/cafe/bar that will play host to a few great bands throughout the month of January.
