The beloved Montreal concert hall and bar, which is nestled inconspicuously on St. Laurent street between Maguire and St. Viateur has suffered an electrical fire on the morning of Sunday, April 16th. Until further notice all shows at Green Room will be moved.

We have not been able to get enough of Drink Up Buttercup ever since we were presented with their new LP, Born and Thrown on a Hook a few weeks back. These guys are just so much fun to listen to and while we haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them live we have heard great things about their live show. This Sunday, May 9th everything will change, as the band will be making a stop at Montreal’s Green Room on their current North American tour. I arrived a little bit too early for The Youjsh’s EP launch Saturday night; a show that also featured Montreal’s Tiny Dictators in the opening spot, but it was definitely worth the hour-long wait.  Equally strong performances by both bands made this event worthy of an encore performance in itself.
