Canada’s always had a knack at fostering talented artists in the music world. Leaving at our dispositions an array of musicians, such as Neil Young, Sloan, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Stars, Sam Roberts Band, Simple Plan…Okay, went a little too far with that last one, but it basically goes to show that the Great White North is home to an endless amount of musical talent. TV On The Radio Design Shirt for Montreal Charity
As if TV on the Radio weren’t already cool enough, the Brooklyn based 5-piece has recently designed a lovely new t-shirt for our friends at The Yellow Bird Project. The proceeds from the shirt will go to Partners in Health, an organization that has been one of the leaders in getting Haiti back on it’s feet after the devastating earthquake that hit last month. Review: Owen Pallett – Heartland
Owen Pallett is known for his incredible orchestral arrangements, and his notable work with numerous artists such as Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Beirut and Pet Shop Boys. In order to avoid confusion with the immensely popular video game Final Fantasy, Owen Pallett has dropped his pseudonym for the release of his new concept album.
