Before The Show: Seabear – Green Room – Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I don’t think we’re the only ones out there who love Icelandic music. In fact, our first review ever was múm and Sin Fang Bous who played Montreal’s Le National on October 26th, 2009. During a short chat that I had with Sin Fang Bous (Sindri Már Sigfússon) at that show I found out that he had recently been working on some music with his band Seabear, which would eventually turn into their new album, We Built A Fire. Well, Seabear will be making a stop in Montreal next Tuesday, March 30th at Green Room (moved from L’escogriffe) to play some brand new songs, making this a show you may not want to miss.

Get ready, Jónsi is coming to Montreal!

Sigur Rós fans listen up! Contrary to previous belief, Sigur Rós are not releasing an album this year; they will actually be taking an indefinite hiatus (!!), due to interference from side projects and family. But, there is hope in this time of despair! Jónsi Birgisson, who fronts the band, will be going on tour in support of his forthcoming and much-anticipated debut solo album, Go. He will be making a stop in our beautiful city on May 2nd, at Metropolis.
