We’re Putting On A Show!
Since our inception in November of last year we have done our best to keep you up to date on everything that is happening in the fast paced Montreal music scene. We’ve been reviewing as many shows as we can, giving away free tickets, doing interviews…hell we even put on a treasure hunt! Well now we would like to present you with another Meet You At The Show first. This September 17th we will putting on a show in association with three great Montreal bands, Intensive Care, Sick Friend and Freelove Fenner at Casa Del Popolo. This Week in Montreal
We’re knee deep in the lazy days of summer. Sometimes nothing feels as quite as good as doing nothing. While we all enjoy our afternoon drinks, the post-work naps and indecisive evening plans, sometimes we all require a little jostle to wake us up from our summer snoozes. Lucky for us, there are some rather interesting shows to keep us occupied all week long. Fool’s Gold bring their Afropop 80s style beats to Le Belmont this Tuesday. South African hip-hop group and internet sensations Die Antwoord are in town performing this Wednesday at Le National, co-headlining with Sleigh Bells. My pick of the week would have to be Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, whose lo-fi psychedelic pop numbers are sure to provide you with enough conversation starters to last you through the weekend. This Week in Montreal
It’s that time of the year again. Yes, festival season has arrived in Montreal. If you’re into the electronic scene, this week’s MUTEK festival offers an array of exciting shows for you night owls. Our MUTEK show picks are Matias Aguayo Presents Cómeme (if you haven’t heard his hit song Rollerskate, you’re missing out), and Mouse on Mars. The Suoni Per Il Popolo festival runs through June 6 – 26, offering an eclectic mix of shows, including this week’s Constellation Records’ 13th Anniversary featuring Clues.
