Last night was a night many Midlake fans had been waiting for for a very long time. When the Texas folk outfit released their The Trials of Van Occupanther album the band’s at that point modest fanbase grew exponentially. Since then it has continued to grow as more and more people became aware of the wonder that is Midlake. With the release of the band’s third full length LP, The Courage of Others came the tour that would finally bring the band to Montreal. Read more…
Venue of the Month: Le National
There was much hemming and hawing this month in deciding which Montreal music venue we would name the venue of the month. The final four came down to Il Motore, Green Room, Divan Orange and Le National. To be fair, there are great things going down at all four venues and many others this month. But because of a few highly anticipated acts coming to Le National, we are proud to announce that, for the first time ever, it is our venue of the month for May.
