La Sala Rossa
Elliott Brood – La Sala Rossa – 11.19.2011
Elliott Brood and One Hundred Dollars swept into the Sala Rosa on Saturday November 19th and blew the roof off. The former was in town supporting their most recent release, “Days Into Years,” and didn’t disappoint the nearly sold out show. Interview: Armen at the Bazaar
My first encounter with Armen at the Bazaar was through SouthernSouls.ca. His song, “Drive With Me”, instantly pulled me into a pleasantly chaotic soundscape where I envisioned streetlights dancing before my eyes as I drove alongside Armen at the Bazaar ”high on speed” . Those who give his art a listen will nay be disappointed. His voice beckons and his beats entrance, evoking emotion and movement. Watching him deliver his pieces with passion greatly enhances the experience. His EP Noor both entices us to dance and sing along, and I had the pleasure to quickly interview Armen before his show at Sala Rossa tonight.
