This Week In Montreal
While the thing that people will probably remember most about this week is the fact that Godspeed You! Black Emperor will make their long awaited return to the stage, we assure you there will be many other things to remember this week. How about the fact that this will be one of the best weeks for live music in Montreal that we have seen in quite awhile. And unless you have the ability to split yourself in two (or three) you will probably not be able to attend even half of the great shows going on this week, but we wish you luck in your quest. Chromeo – Metropolis – 21.01.11
A mob of ever faithful fans assembled this past Friday for the highly anticipated return of Montreal-based electro funk duo Chromeo who have been on tour promoting the release of their hit record, Business Casual. Six months since their last appearance in the city where it all began, a sold out Metropolis could only serve as further proof that their 80s retro electro-gangsta-soul-funk formula was exactly what the music scene had been lacking for all these years.
