One of the most exciting artists to emerge out of the UK folk scene in the past few years along with Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons & Alessi’s Ark is London, England’s Johnny Flynn. After touring endlessly for his 2008 debut album, A Larum, Flynn is finally ready to release his follow-up LP, entitled Been Listening. Our free download this week is a first taste of the new album, which doesn’t hit stores until June, so consider yourself lucky.
Vivian Girls – La Sala Rossa – Tuesday, March 9th, 2010
Last night, Vivian Girls, Drunk Dial and Male Bonding hosted a show at La Sala Rossa filled with noisy punk rock and a whole lot of talent. Although the hall was empty until about 10:00 PM (in true Montreal fashion), the audience somehow managed to make it just in time to catch the opening band.
