This is it folks! The final day of Osheaga 2011 is rapidly approaching and it appears the Osheaga crew has saved the best for last this year. What a lineup we have in store for Sunday. This Week In Montreal

We hope you’ve had a quiet and restful weekend because this week, Montreal will be completely jam packed with great shows happening night after night. It’s also apparently album release week in Montreal as there are a number of Montreal bands playing album release shows this week. Malajube will play back to back sold out shows on Tuesday and Wednesday at La Tulipe as they release their latest LP, La Caverne. Pat Jordache will also be releasing his debut album this Thursday at Discoteque Tropicale as well as Grimes and D’Eon who will be releasing a brand new split this Friday at La Sala Rossa. Earlier this week we received the sad news that BC indie pop band You Say Party had decided to take an indefinite hiatus. The music world was shaken a year ago when the band’s drummer, Devon Clifford, collapsed on stage and died two days later from a brain hemorrhage. So to kick off this week’s Saturday Video Parade we’d like to pay tribute to You Say Party with the last video the band ever made for their song “Laura Palmer’s Prom”. Here’s to You Say Party! Malajube Gets Plagiarized!

It’s no secret that we at Meet You At The Show are big fans of the fun-lovin’ Montreal band, Malajube. So we were deeply upset to see that up and coming New York singer song-writer Katie Costello has plagiarized one of Malajube’s songs. Not only did she plagiarize the song, but she also made a eerily similar video to go along with it.

Last night, Beatrice Martin, or as most know her, Coeur de Pirate played the first of two completely sold out shows at Le National in what will be her last two Montreal shows for a long time, as she will be touring Canada and Europe until well into June. There was a buzz in the air as the hall began to fill up, the lights began to dim, and opener Jimmy Hunt took the stage.
