K-Os – Club Soda – 12.10.2011

K-Os made a return to Montreal this weekend, supported by Toronto’s up-and-coming The Dirty Mags. Although they were at opposite end’s of the music spectrum next to K-Os, they captured the audience with their buzzing energy and thrashing guitars. The Sheepdogs and Monster Truck pulled up outside Le Cabaret du Mile End for the Montreal stop on their Canadian tour to showcase a little of their respective hometowns for a hungry crowd. A wet and chilly Tuesday night did nothing dampen the spirits of the bands’ fan base, which ranged from young to old, frat boy to fan girl, and everyone in between. Given the success of The Sheepdogs media and tour driven journey, it was no surprise to see some music industry types surveying the open concept venue and anxiously awaiting the arrival of the only unsigned band to ever grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Hey Rosetta! – 26.11.11 – Corona Theatre

An early start to last night’s show left room for nearly four hours of incredible music from all parts of the world. Seattle’s Ivan & Alyosha got the night going with their lovely pop songs, getting the crowd in an amazing mood right from the start. Next up was the incredibly captivating Jezabels from down under, who proved to have brought in a good quarter of the night’s audience.
