Every time OK GO put out a new video we get pretty giddy over here in MYATS land because we know that we are about to witness something special. It all started with the treadmills don’t forget. Well the band’s latest video just may be their most amazing one yet. The entire video for the song “Last Leaf” from their latest album, Of the Blue Colour Of the Sky, was shot using photographs of pieces of toast. Sounds boring right? Well that’s all folks. Osheaga 2010 has come to an end. I think it’s safe to say a good time was had by all and despite the long lemonade lines (and consequently long bathroom lines) the entire weekend went off without a hitch. These Twlight films have got a lot of people going crazy don’t they? Well even if you aren’t a fan of the teenage vampire book/film series you have to admit that they put together some pretty impressive soundtracks. The last one featured bands like Grizzly Bear, Sea Wolf, Bon Iver, Thom Yorke and Lykki Li to name a few. The last time Canadian indie-rock powerhouse, Metric came to Montreal, they sold out Metropolis. Now, Metropolis is a big venue. Where does one go next? The Laval Récréathèque of course! Last night, Metric, accompanied by Arkells, rocked out at what is usually the roller-blading hot spot of Laval, but on this night was host to the hottest show in the city.
