On Saturday December 3rd, Montreal-based nerd-rock duo Cinéma L’Amour celebrated their second year as a band with their Second Birthday Bonanza, a music/art filled evening of rock. Tandoori Knights – Il Motore – 30.11.11

Il Motore was fully revved on Wednesday night due to a packed house and a spicy menu as Bloodshot Bill, Crystal Stilts and Tandoori Knights took over Little Italy. Mile-Enders and Montrealers from all over answered the call to catch up with some of this city’s brightest and boldest rock n’ rollers and to be taken on a cross-continental journey of music and theatrics. As the punters shuffled in, dragging wisps of cold air behind them, the DJ played a mix of vinyl that zig-zagged between Detroit rock, British invasion, southern soul and noise rock. Three artists took the stage at Casa Del Popolo Tuesday night and delivered an intimate, moving, and delightful evening of folk music.
