New Osheaga Additions

As if the initial Osheaga lineup announcement wasn’t exciting enough, the folks over at Osheaga have just unveiled a few more artists that will be playing this year’s festival. Leading the way are Cypress Hill who will be making a very rare stage appearance, along with the amazing Janelle Monae who will be playing in Quebec for the first time ever and Broken Social Scene who, let’s face it, just make every festival better. Earlier this week we received the sad news that BC indie pop band You Say Party had decided to take an indefinite hiatus. The music world was shaken a year ago when the band’s drummer, Devon Clifford, collapsed on stage and died two days later from a brain hemorrhage. Hilarious video kings, The Lonely Island, have been hinting at a new album for some time now. When they released a new video featuring Akon called “I Just Had Sex” we knew this was for real. Well just today, the band have released their latest insanity called “We’re Back”, a song that mostly just makes fun of each band member’s genitalia. But nevertheless, the song title says it all; the boys are back and lead things off for us on this week’s Saturday Video Parade!

Up and coming Montreal band Honheehonhee have just put the finishing touches on their first ever music video for the song “We Only Go” from their forthcoming debut LP, Shouts, which will be out this July. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to play a game of tackle frisbee in your underwear outside in the winter keep reading. We’re going to label this one as SOSFWDOWYW (sort of safe for work depending on where you work).
