At only quarter past eight last night, Club Soda was already pumping with excited fans awaiting the night’s show, and they seemed to be more than happy to be early and out of the torrential rain and overwhelming humidity that was outside. Yeasayer – Le National – Sunday, May 2nd, 2010
Last night I had the chance to check out two noise-pop-rock buzz bands, Yeasayer and openers Sleigh Bells. Both acclaimed bands have had a busy 2010, with Yeasayer releasing their second LP Odd Blood, and Sleigh Bells promoting their debut album Treats – off M.I.A.’s N.E.E.T. label – which drops May 11.

Yeasayer, le groupe expérimental et psychédélique de Brooklyn sort finalement sont deuxième album Odd Blood trois ans après leur premier disque acclamé par la critique, All Hours Cymbals. Leur dernier opus n’évoque plus le sentiment d’être un nomade errant dans un désert aride mais nous permet plutôt de découvrir un tout nouveau monde de sonorité.

Brooklyn’s psychedelic, experimental rock band Yeasayer have, after a long wait since 2007’s critically acclaimed All Hours Cymbals, released their sophomore album, entitled Odd Blood. The band’s latest output no longer evokes feelings of being a wandering nomad through an arid dessert, but instead the guys have created an entirely new soundscape for us to explore.
