This Week In Montreal
Osheaga takes over the city this week in Montreal. Not only will the 2011 edition of festival take place this weekend at Parc Jean Drapeau, but the folks at Osheaga have even planned some great shows leading up to the festival, along with an exciting Osheaga after party on Saturday at Olympia featuring Special Disco Version (James Murphy & Pat Mahoney of LCD Soundsystem). There are a few other noteworthy shows heading up to Osheaga including tonight’s show at Casa Del Popolo featuring Montreal’s own Intensive Care and Washington D.C.’s Deleted Scenes and the Sonny & The Sunsets show at Divan Orange tomorrow night. Freedom or Death Release Free Single, Play Osheaga Kick Off Party
Freedom or Death are a Toronto based duo made up of classically trained pianist and DJ, Fernandez, and vocalist, Sway. The duo have just released a brand new single entitled “This Crowded Room” as a part of their seven-track debut album EGO, which was released on April 26, 2011 through the band’s own imprint Liars & Thieves and via Arts & Crafts.

Lineup For Osheaga 2011
One of the most exciting times of the year for many Montrealers is the announcement of the lineup for the annual Osheaga Festival that happens every summer at Parc Jean Drappeau in Montreal. Osheaga 2010 Day 2 Recap
Well that’s all folks. Osheaga 2010 has come to an end. I think it’s safe to say a good time was had by all and despite the long lemonade lines (and consequently long bathroom lines) the entire weekend went off without a hitch. I think we all deserve to finally put our feet up and relax after standing for twenty hours with only a little rest in between days. Osheaga 2010 Day 1 Recap
Day 1 of Osheaga 2010 is in the books and I think we can all safely say that it was a huge success. Great music, perfect weather, good food, lots of free stuff and a grand finale of Arcade Fire is enough to make anyone giddy, but this day was much more than a long wait for Arcade Fire to play.
