Osheaga 2010 Day 1 Recap
Day 1 of Osheaga 2010 is in the books and I think we can all safely say that it was a huge success. Great music, perfect weather, good food, lots of free stuff and a grand finale of Arcade Fire is enough to make anyone giddy, but this day was much more than a long wait for Arcade Fire to play. Polaris Music Prize Long List
The Polaris Music Prize is undoubtedly the most coveted award in the Canadian independent music market. If you haven’t heard, The Polaris Prize is awarded each year to the best Canadian album of that year, based solely on artistic merit and disregarding album sales. New Additions To Osheaga Lineup
The initial lineup for this year’s Osheaga Festival, which will take place on July 31st and August 1st at Parc Jean-Drapeau had a lot of people, including us, excited. With The Arcade Fire, The National and Pavement listed as the festival’s headliners, it was looking as though this would be the best Osheaga in the Festival’s short history. Owen Pallett Reveals New Video
Violin virtuoso and musical genius Owen Pallett, who we all remember as Final Fantasy, has just released a brand new video for the song “Lewis Takes Off His Shirt” from his latest album, Heartland. Pallett has always been known to create some pretty imaginative videos and this new one is no exception.

Owen Pallett is known for his incredible orchestral arrangements, and his notable work with numerous artists such as Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Beirut and Pet Shop Boys. In order to avoid confusion with the immensely popular video game Final Fantasy, Owen Pallett has dropped his pseudonym for the release of his new concept album.
