Exclusive: Nightwood Offer Up New Track
Nightwood are a Montreal based trio composed of gal pals Amber Goodwyn and Erin Ross on guitars and drummer Jeremy MacCuish (of Parlovr/Cotton Mouth fame). For the past few years they have slowly been building a name for themselves playing at many of Montreal’s various hot spots and a few others around Canada. With one full length LP already under their belt, the band have been toiling away on some new material that breaks away from the themes we have grown used to on Carta Marina. Osheaga 2010 Day 2 Recap
Well that’s all folks. Osheaga 2010 has come to an end. I think it’s safe to say a good time was had by all and despite the long lemonade lines (and consequently long bathroom lines) the entire weekend went off without a hitch. I think we all deserve to finally put our feet up and relax after standing for twenty hours with only a little rest in between days. This Week in Montreal
We’ve been counting down the days to Osheaga, and it’s finally here! However you don’t need to wait until Saturday to get into the festival spirit for we’ve got Osheaga in the City shows from Yoav, Of Montreal, and Chromeo with Neon Indian to psych us up for the big weekend. Now all we’ve got to do is pick out a comfy pair of shoes and cross our fingers for blue skies. Don’t let the excitement get too much to your head, lest you forget we’ve got some other great shows happening this week in Montreal. Hercules and Love Affair are in town, bringing their infectious disco jams to Le Belmont this Tuesday. Busking For Change at Osheaga 2010
Following the succesful Busking For Change event that took place in Montreal back in March, in which some of Montreal’s finest musicians took to the streets and subway platforms in order to raise money for children affected by war, it has just been announced that Warchild will be bringing Busking For Change to this year’s Osheaga Festival in an effort to keep the philanthropy going.
