This Week in Montreal
As the leaves change, BBQs go into storage and the dreaded coat-check returns, sometimes it’s hard to fight the urge to not leave your cozy couch. Yet us Montreal veterans know that Fall should be savored. It’s an idyllic few weeks before the winter army of Canada Goose clones take over the city. Why not celebrate the most glorious of seasons by checking out one of the many exciting shows happening around town this week? Phoenix are back in town. While we can’t stand CEPSUM, and are a little confused as to how WAVVES were thrown into the mix, hey it’s Phoenix! We’re also kind of curious to check out Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan. A collaboration between the former Belle & Sebastian singer and former Screaming Trees frontman, we’ve got a soft spot for odd couplings. Venue of the Month: Metropolis
While Metropolis may not offer the quaint simplicity that can be found at last month’s venue of the month, Il Motore, the list of bands lined up to play this St Catherine mainstay this December is impossible to ignore.
