The Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival continues to roll on this week with a whole new batch of great and eclectic musicians from all over the musical spectrum. Omar Souleyman, Dolphins Into The Future, Jerusalem In My Heart, Parlovr, Colin Stetson and Lichens are a few of the great artists that will be taking the stage this week as a part of this years festival so be sure to check them out. Besides the Suoni shows there are a bunch of great shows going on this week in Montreal. The Dodos and The Antlers will play La Tulipe on Wednesday and Cults will play Il Motore on Sunday. Busking For Change Montreal

Yesterday you may have noticed that your local busker’s had a little bit of a different aura surrounding them. You may have also noticed unusually large crowds of people gathering around to watch, along with green and red buckets that said War Child on the side. Well, if you hadn’t already guessed, these weren’t just your ordinary buskers. In fact, the buskers that you may have seen at Berri-UQAM and Place Des Arts metro stations and at various locations around the Eaton’s Center yesterday were some of Montreal’s finest musicians and pop stars, playing their hearts out for a very worthy cause.

Since it’s going to be a pretty quiet few weeks with the holidays coming up and not many shows in the city we figured a good way to get excited about the new year would be to take a look ahead at some of the incredible shows we have coming up this winter and into spring.
